IAMGOLD’s Rosebel Gold Mine is one of the country’s largest and most important mining operations. Guided by its Zero Harm vision, IAMGOLD is dedicated to minimizing environmental impact and improving operational efficiency. As part of this mission, the Rosebel Warehouse Department was selected for a major upgrade to replace its outdated lighting system with a smarter, energy-efficient solution that supports both sustainability and performance goals.
The Challenge
As part of IAMGOLD’s Zero Harm vision, the Rosebel Gold Mines Warehouse Department aimed to reduce environmental impact through improved energy efficiency. Their existing conventional lighting system was outdated, energy-intensive, and insufficient for optimal performance. The goal was to transition to a more sustainable solution that would lower energy use, reduce carbon emissions, and improve visibility for both safety and productivity.
Our Solution
Project Lighting Solutions implemented a smart, energy-efficient LED lighting system tailored to the warehouse’s operational needs. The new system significantly improved lighting quality while cutting energy consumption by 70%. The Design
The installation was executed with minimal disruption to warehouse operations. Our team installed 166 high-efficiency LED fixtures, 11 new light poles with concrete footings, and upgraded the electrical infrastructure to support the new system. All work was carried out safely and efficiently, in alignment with IAMGOLD’s Zero Harm standards. The system was fully tested and optimized to ensure immediate performance.
